One can only take another as deep as one is themselves.
How I Work
Mission Statement
"To assist one in releasing blocks to experience the feeling of relaxation and well-being, re-experiencing one's core nature."
Core Release is a philosophy that the bodyworker does not "fix" anything, but rather assists one to release, or remove, barriers to experiencing their true nature. We experience pain or illness when our own energy is blocked. Energy blockage is the result of our thought system (through experiences and ideas) and/or environmental contaminants. Releasing these bodily, or physical, sensations can help one remember what it feels like to be free and expansive.
Principally, my work is engaged in the Five Levels of Healing, as defined by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D., PhD. I don't work on just one level, the physical, but all levels and ultimately the fifth level, which is what I define as "Core Release."
When engaged in bodywork, I take on a stand of waking meditation while engaged in bodywork. This state can be and is transmitted to the client. In this state of "no thought," energy can be released and tissues softened. Events that may have attributed to the blockage may be re-experienced before final resolution and release. This is sometimes referred to as healing crisis. Ultimately, one's own well-being may be restored.
Sessions are deeper (not deep tissue), the results last longer, and more precise in releasing soreness or structural problems than a traditional Swedish massage. Here is a description of therapeutic massage. My signature treatment, Core Release, is my own method of bodywork. Read more about my practices under Services.
This Code of Ethics is a summary statement of the standards by which massage therapists agree to conduct their practices and is a declaration of the general principles of acceptable, ethical, professional behavior.
Massage therapists shall:
-
Demonstrate commitment to provide the highest quality massage therapy/bodywork to those who seek their professional service.
-
Acknowledge the inherent worth and individuality of each person by not discriminating or behaving in any prejudicial manner with clients and/or colleagues.
-
Demonstrate professional excellence through regular self-assessment of strengths, limitations, and effectiveness by continued education and training.
-
Acknowledge the confidential nature of the professional relationship with clients and respect each client's right to privacy.
-
Conduct all business and professional activities within their scope of practice, the law of the land, and project a professional image.
-
Refrain from engaging in any sexual conduct or sexual activities involving their clients.
-
Accept responsibility to do no harm to the physical, mental and emotional well-being of self, clients, and associates.
Clients can help themselves improve the most in treatment if they are engaged in other activities of release - various forms of bodywork, meditation and prayer. It is not my goal to maintain a client indefinitely, but rather to assist you in your journey towards wholeness until my service is no longer needed.
Benefits of Massage
Many health problems we encounter can be helped, on some level, with massage therapy. There are extensive benefits to massage therapy. Massage therapy has therapeutic effects that can help improve health by acting on the muscular, nervous, circulatory and lymphatic (immune) systems. Massage therapy can help control pain, acute or chronic, in stress reduction, and in creating a sense of relaxation and well-being. Since many websites talk extensively about the benefits of massage, I would like to refer you to read about more from at least one original source. Please click this link to visit Massage Therapy. Also, the Touch Therapy Institute has an impressive compilation of abstracts demonstrating the benefits of massage therapy on numerous mild and serious illnesses.
Payment Policies
Type of Payment
Core Release Bodywork accepts cash or check only at the time of service with the exception of L&I and PIP claims. I'm a Preferred Provider of many insurances and accept their payment along with your cash or check copay. But if your insurance company fails to pay for any reason, you will be responsible for the balance due. You are required to pay for services at the time of service. If you need to pay by credit card, you can send funds to my email address through PayPal.
No Show Policy
Failure to attend your scheduled session without notice prevents others from receiving treatment in your place. This equals a loss of income for me since the appointment time could be filled in your place with enough advance notice. I am unable to call someone to come in at the last minute, and I don't have a waiting room of people backlogged that can fill the time either. Please be considerate of my time and income. If you need to cancel, please call or email a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will require full payment from you for a no show fee. If you have health insurance that usually pays, you will be required to pay the cash rate normally charged, as insurance does not pay for no shows. In the event of a medical emergency or illness, this fee will be waived. Please do not attend your session if you aren't well. Illness spreads easily even though I'm careful with hand washing and cleanliness. If there is failure to pay the no show fee or two no shows, you will be denied further services.
Check Return Policy
If your check is returned for insufficient funds, you will be charged a bank fee of $35 and will need to pay the balance due in cash.
